Officer profiles are now up! Now you can get to know your TASA board a little bit better or figure out what the person you need to pay your $15 dues to (Bryan Yang!) looks like or just stalk if that's what you're into.

 

Our collaborative event with CSA and HKSA for the Mid-Autumn had a great turnout! Thanks to everyone who made the event such a success! If you haven't seen already, the pictures from the event are up! You can view them in the Photo Gallery.

Taste of Taiwan
When: Saturday, November 21st, 2009
What time: 7:00PM-9:00PM
Where: Chinese Cultural Center (near Dinho in China Town)

 

For those of you who don't know, Taste of Taiwan is an event of exciting performances, delicious Taiwanese food, and fun games and contest. All for free! Brought to about 300 people in Atlanta each year by GT TASA and Emory TASA (as well as GSU TASA this year)!

 

Finally, it's October! Coming up soon is our Halloween Movie Night on Tuesday, October 27th. Stay tuned for more details!

 

Oh, and a belated 中秋節快樂 to everyone!

Thanks to those of you who showed up to the Freshman Social last Wednesday! We apologize for any inconvenience or disappointment that may have resulted from the changes from the barbecue on Thursday up to the social on Wednesday.

 

Next up, we have the Mid-Autumn Festival and Bento Night!

 

 

Mid-Autumn Festival
When: Tuesday, September 29th, 2009
What time: 7:00PM-9:00PM
Where: On top of Curran Parking Deck (outside of Woodies)

Bento Night
When: Saturday, October 10th, 2009
What time: 7:00PM
Where: Bento (Meet at Student Center parking lot -- we can provide rides! In shifts!)

 

We hope to see you there! Once again, dues are $15 so if you want a T-shirt as well as free attendance at all future TASA event, bring your dues!

Lastly, photos from the Typhoon Fundraiser at CCC on August 23rd and from the Dragon Boat Festival at Lake Lanier on September 12th have been uploaded. You can view them under Fall 09 - Spring 10 in the Photo Gallery!

To those of you who made it to our first general meeting, thanks for coming out! The event was a great success! The photos from the event have now been posted. You can find them in the Photo Gallery.

 

 

For those of you who weren't able to make it or want more -- the Freshmen Barbecue will be on Thursday, September 17th from 7:30 to 9. Join our Facebook group for more details and an invitation to the event (when we post it).

 

If you're not a freshman, look forward to the Mid-Autumn Festival event the week of September 28th! We will be telling ghost stories and serving moon cakes!

 

And if you have not yet paid your dues, don't worry! You can pay them at any time, so just bring $15 and pay them to Bryan Yang the next time you come out.

So the new layout is finally up!

And now that the new website is seemingly functional, I can finally update about upcoming deadlines and events

T-Shirt Designs

If you are interested in designing the TASA T-shirt for this year, please submit your designs to Ginger at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . Don't worry about the colors, just get your submissions in by September 2nd! And be sure that you include your name and attach your file in the email!

 TASA First General Meeting

Our first general meeting is this Wednesday. We don't discriminate! You don't have to be Taiwanese to join. As long as you have an interest in the culture and/or the cuisine, come join us! Bring your friends too because we will be serving bubble tea and teaching and playing Taiwanese games.
